New Mexico Museum of Art

Since the early 1950's Conron & Woods has provided intelligent, preservation-minded design services to the Museum of New Mexico for this historic 1917 building in downtown Santa Fe. One early project provided adaptations to St. Francis Auditorium. Another, more contemporary planning project envisioned an addition to the building to offer the Museum with more exhibit space, event spaces including an auditorium, and additional staff support space. In between there have been many projects, large and small, involving renovation, repair, updates to building systems, and adaptation, which all have served to meet the evolving needs of the building.
