Palace of the Governors
Santa Fe, New Mexico
Conron & Woods has been involved in the preservation and protection of this significant historic structure for more than 30 years. The Palace was constructed in 1610, and is the oldest government building in continuous use in the United States. Projects at the Palace have included restoration, repair, adaptation to meet modern codes, and redesign to suit new uses in certain parts of the building, as well as the preparation of a Historic Structures report. The firm has won a number of preservation awards for some of these projects. Current work on the Palace includes replacing sections of the wood floors and windows.
